MeKael is the author of the children’s books, What Will A-Tal Play Today and The
Fearless Princess. Having been recognized by several news media outlets, she is
currently featured on the New York Times in partnership with Mass Mutual, Inc.

MeKael's book, The Fearless Princess was featured on Social Media Personality and American Actress, Tabitha Brown's Very Good Mondays show. MeKael has spoken to students at STEM programs and other schools in the southern United States and has interviewed on outlets such as WDAM, Super Talk Radio, and The Amazing
Happy Village Talk Show. Through her sponsorship program, MeKael provides books to
children who would not otherwise have access to them. She is passionate about what she
does, and she truly loves finding ways to get children excited about reading. She even
helps students write poems and raps! She hopes her books encourage children, as well as
grown-ups, all over the world enjoy the years of their youth and become fearless,
confident, and courageous.

MeKael resides in Hattiesburg, MS with her husband, Dorian and their two wonderful children, Asa (13) and Aixa (9). In 2019, MeKael and her family were featured on the nationally syndicated game show, Family Feud, hosted by Steve Harvey.
For the last 8 years, MeKael has been an active member of the PTO Board at her
children’s school. She loves being creative, learning new things, and playing basketball
with her family.
