What Educators Are Saying:

"I'm a mother and Kindergarten Teacher. This book is awesome!!! My children (8, 7, and 1) love reading about A-Tal's Play Day at Recess. This book is fun for all ages especially the little ones. I enjoyed watching my children rapping while using rhyming words and making predictions throughout the story. I cannot wait until I add this book in my classroom. The pictures are perfect throughout the story. We can't wait for A-Tal's next adventure!" 5 stars! - A. Darby, Kindergarten School Teacher (Hawkins Elementary)

This is a great book that keeps children's attention! It's not extremely long and very relatable. When students find characters they can relate to, this peaks their interest and draws them in. Once you have them hooked; there's no turning back. They will seek more. This is only going to increase their desire to read even more. - T. Owens - School Counselor

As a first grade teacher of an energetic group of children who love recess, this story was thoroughly enjoyed by my class! The catchy dialogue was easy to read with the bright, fun illustrations. What Will A-Tal Play Today has been added to our “In-Class Read List” as well as our Accelerated Reader program which promotes literacy and comprehension skills. This book is highly recommended for your class or family. We can’t wait to see what A’Tal will play next! Susan B. (Longleaf Elementary School)

We have an after school program for students K-5 and all of the students loved this book. The interactive activities and stickers included with the book, were great for both my early readers and my accelerated readers. - Syndi Jones

I’ve actually met the author and invited her to read her book to my 1st grade class! They absolutely loved the book and answered her comprehension questions. They asked her many questions about her journey as a Mississippi author and her inspiration for writing books. It is culturally responsive! We can’t wait until the next book is published! - Redena Lewis (Earl Travillion School)
